Refund & Cancellation Policy

AnswerMonk offers a free audit tier and a paid monitoring subscription at $19/month (USD). This policy explains how to cancel the paid plan and when we issue refunds. It is written to be fair and clear, and it applies alongside our Terms of Service.

Overview

There are two ways to use AnswerMonk. The free audit tier is exactly that — free. You can run an AI-visibility audit without paying anything, and there is no card, trial clock, or automatic upgrade attached to it. Because nothing is charged, there is nothing to cancel or refund on the free tier.

The paid monitoring tier costs $19 per month (USD) and is a recurring monthly subscription. It renews automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel. Payments are handled by our third-party payment processor.

Cancellation

You can cancel the $19/month monitoring subscription at any time, either from your account or by emailing us at [email protected].

When you cancel, your paid monitoring features remain active until the end of the current billing period that you have already paid for — you keep what you paid for. After that date the subscription does not renew and you are not billed again. Cancelling stops future charges; on its own it is not a request for a refund of the period already in progress (see Refunds below).

Refunds

Because monitoring is delivered continuously throughout each month, monthly subscription charges are generally non-refundable once a billing period has started. We would rather be upfront about that than imply refunds are automatic.

That said, we deal with genuine issues fairly instead of hiding behind a blanket rule. If any of the following apply, contact us within 7 days of the charge and we will review it and refund where appropriate:

Outside these situations, any refund is offered at our discretion as a goodwill gesture — we are not obligated to provide one, but we would rather keep a customer happy than argue over $19. The free audit tier never involves a charge, so it is never in scope for a refund.

Billing errors & duplicate charges

If you spot a billing error — a duplicate charge, the wrong amount, or a charge you did not expect — email [email protected] with the details. We can see the subscription and charges tied to your account, so we can usually confirm what happened quickly and correct genuine errors promptly.

Failed or disputed charges & chargebacks

If a payment fails, your subscription may pause until the charge succeeds. If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first at [email protected] before opening a dispute or chargeback with your bank or card provider. We can almost always resolve the problem directly and faster — including issuing a refund when one is warranted — without the delay a formal dispute adds.

How to cancel or request a refund

To cancel: use the cancellation option in your account, or email [email protected] from (or quoting) the email address on your account.

To request a refund: email [email protected] within 7 days of the charge, include your account email and a short description of what happened, and we will respond. Using your account email helps us find your subscription quickly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time — for example, if our plans or payment arrangements change. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date shown on this page. Continuing to use the paid subscription after a change means the updated policy applies to charges made after that date.
