ChatGPT visibility tracker
Measure whether ChatGPT names your brand when buyers ask, and how that changes month to month.
AnswerMonk is a GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) intelligence platform that measures how brands appear in AI answers from ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini.
A ChatGPT visibility tracker answers one question with numbers instead of anecdotes: when a buyer in your market asks ChatGPT for a recommendation, does your brand appear, and where in the answer? AnswerMonk runs a panel of real buyer prompts for your market, records every answer ChatGPT gives, and reports your appearance rate and average rank — then replays the identical panel each month so every change is a measured delta, not a guess.
Free AI visibility audit — no signup, results in 3–8 minutes.
What does the tracker measure?
It measures three things per month: your appearance rate (the share of your market's prompts where ChatGPT names you), your average rank when you do appear (first recommendation or an also-ran), and the month-over-month change in both. Because the same prompt panel is replayed every month, a movement in the numbers reflects a real shift in how ChatGPT answers — not a change in what was asked.
Alongside your own numbers you get the competitor picture: which brands ChatGPT actually names in your market, ranked by how often they appear. That is frequently the first surprise in a report — the AI-visible competitor set often differs from the Google-visible one.
How does it work?
It works by asking ChatGPT the way buyers do, live, and recording what comes back. AnswerMonk generates a panel of buyer-shaped prompts for your market — commercial questions, category questions, competitor questions — and runs them as real prompt executions at audit time. Nothing is estimated from search volumes or backfilled from historical datasets; every data point traces to a recorded answer. Monthly monitoring replays the identical panel, stamps completed fixes verified or not-moved against the fresh run, and refreshes the prioritized action plan. The method is documented in full on the methodology page.
Is ChatGPT the only engine covered?
No — every AnswerMonk plan tracks 3 full engines on every plan (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini), so Claude and Gemini are included at no extra cost. That matters because engines disagree: a brand ChatGPT recommends first can be absent from Gemini's answer to the same question, and per-engine differences are where the actionable gaps usually sit. Several rivals price engines separately at entry.

Appearance tracking is one of three lenses in an AnswerMonk report. AI citation tracking shows which URLs engines cite for your market, and AI share of voice puts your appearance rate in proportion to your competitors' across all three engines. Monitoring is $19/mo per brand, currently in early access — see pricing or start with the free audit above.
