Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data AnswerMonk collects when you run an AI-visibility audit or use the platform, how we use it, who processes it on our behalf, and the choices and rights you have.

Who we are

AnswerMonk (https://www.answermonk.ai) is a GEO / AEO audit tool that measures how brands appear in AI search answers. The service is operated by Dreamport Technology Private Limited, an India company (CIN U78100RJ2025PTC104714), whose registered address is 72 Mangal Vihar (MCL), Scheme No. 5, Bhoggore, Alwar, Rajasthan – 301001, India. In this policy, "AnswerMonk", "we", "us" and "our" refer to Dreamport Technology Private Limited operating the AnswerMonk service.

For any privacy question, or to exercise your data rights, email us at [email protected].

What data we collect

Visitors and free-audit users

You can run a basic AI-visibility audit without creating an account. When you do, we process:

Account holders

If you create an account or subscribe to a paid plan, we additionally process:

Connected Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 (optional)

You can optionally connect Google Search Console (GSC) and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to enrich your report. This uses Google OAuth and requests read-only access. When connected we process: the metrics we read from the property you authorise (such as search queries, impressions, clicks, average position, index coverage, sessions, traffic channels and key events); the email address of the Google account that authorised the connection, so you can see which account a site is connected as; and the OAuth tokens that let us make those read-only calls. We never write to, change or delete anything in your Google account. Exactly how this data is used, who it is shared with, and how to delete it is set out in Google user data below.

How we use data

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your submitted URLs, connected analytics data or reports for advertising.

Google user data

This section applies specifically to Google user data — everything we receive through your optional Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 connection: the read-only metrics we fetch, the email address of the authorising Google account, and the OAuth tokens themselves.

How we use it

We use Google user data for one purpose: to build and improve the AnswerMonk reports and dashboards for the site you connected, for you and the people you share them with. It replaces estimated figures in your report with your own measured data. We do not use it for any other product, customer or purpose.

Who we share, transfer or disclose it to

We do not sell Google user data, and we do not transfer or disclose it to third parties for any purpose other than providing and improving the features you connected it for. In detail:

How we store it, and how you delete it

OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, and all traffic between AnswerMonk and Google is encrypted in transit over HTTPS/TLS. Access is read-only throughout.

You can end our access at any time, in either of two ways: use Disconnect Google on your Connect Sources page in AnswerMonk, or remove AnswerMonk from your Google Account permissions. Disconnecting deletes the stored OAuth tokens immediately. Metrics we had already cached are deleted together with the reports they informed, or sooner if you ask us at [email protected].

AnswerMonk’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

AI sub-processors and third parties

Running an audit means sending prompts to third-party AI providers and using specialist data providers. Each sub-processor processes data only to perform its function for us, under its own terms:

The prompts we send to AI providers describe a category and the brands in it; we never include your account credentials, or any data from a connected Google Search Console or GA4 property, in them. For the current list of sub-processors and how we secure data, see Sub-processors & Security.

Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of cookies: essential cookies that keep your session working, and analytics cookies. For product analytics we use Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager to understand, in aggregate, how the site and the tool are used. You can control cookies through your browser, and our Cookie Policy explains each category and how to decline non-essential cookies.

Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes above:

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Indian users have rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; users in the EEA or UK have rights under the GDPR.

To exercise any of these, email [email protected] from the address associated with your account and tell us what you would like to do. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

International data transfers

AnswerMonk is operated from India, and your data is processed there. Because we rely on the sub-processors listed above, some data is also processed in other countries, including the United States (for example by our AI-engine, analytics and data providers). Where data crosses borders, we rely on the safeguards and contractual terms those providers offer to keep it protected.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls that limit data to authorised personnel, and hosting on managed infrastructure. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we review our practices and work to keep them current. There is more detail on our Sub-processors & Security page.

Children

AnswerMonk is a business tool and is not directed to children. The service is intended for users aged 18 or over, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product and the processors we rely on evolve. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date shown on this page, and we will highlight significant changes where appropriate. Continuing to use AnswerMonk after an update means you accept the revised policy.
